yeah, I would think a 1989 rebuilt motor, not running with no compression would not be worth $3500, that is for sure. However, someone would buy it I am sure. I will keep my ears open.
Well my old evinrude finally gave it up NO compression on number six 200 hp XP i beleive its a 89 model I was wondering if yall know someone to take it too Its already been rebuilt once it has .30 over pistons in it I have talked to Randy at Freemons he says $3500 Not sure if its worth that or not.

Man, that's tough. If there was any way possible around it, I don't think
I'd rebuild it, but that's just me... sure would be nice to be able to get into
an Opti or Etec if you run a lot, fuel mileage-wise. But if that's out of the
picture, still think I'd try to find a used one instead of rebuilding.
But that's just me talking, no expert
