I used to say the same thing till I used the heavier head. I think the heavy head falling fast makes them react to to fast. I fish a little differant than most sacalait fisherman. I use 2.5" tube...

High water during spawning time is great for the fish...allows them to get back in the woods and do their thing without being caught. Should be a great year in da basin once everything settles.

You will have no problem going out there in a 16 foot bass boat. Unless there is a 15-20mph wind out the sw or straight west wind. Be prepared to have plenty of company it will be a magnet to most...
