Default Is everyone ready for the spawn ??????

Went to the Bone today not really expecting to catch much as it was the worst day of the month on the Solar Calendar... the mission in mind was to try to locate black Crappie that relate to structure .... didnt find one ... while fishing stageing areas that the Blacks relate to we found Fish by trees all Males in 9 feet of water. in deeper water we found all Females. the Roe in them looked ready to deposit...... the Temp in the deep water showed as 56 degrees, We did not fish the bank at all , but the water at 4 to 5 ft deep on the north bank area we looked at was 60 degrees .. all the fish were better than we have been catching in the channel .We only Caught 8 but 1/2 to 3/4 pound apiece was perfect for the worse day of the Month

FOL....8-9 ft.!!! Stowe Creek might be in play if this warm up continues. Heck we might see bunk beds with Bass on the top and WP on the bottom.....SLIP

Warm this week, cooler next week. Hopefully we won't get a deluge. This could be the setup for a big spring if that doesn't happen....SLIP

Im ready for it but more ready for summer pattern. I catch more fish and easier to find em with no cold fronts pushing south. That being said I am thinking about going this weekend after the front.

Not only ready but enjoying it. Yesterday fished a little while and caught a large female on a cypress tree. I then dropped my jig in again and caught the male. Sorry to end there romantic interlude but so be it. Air temp near 80, water temp 68.
