For shad I would put in on 671 go up river to a high bank on your left and a gut on the right, you'll see the boats.

Put it in your truck or lawnmower.....least thats what I do...

Anywhere Suffolk and west has turkeys, I live in Southampton and we are loaded but all private land:(. Thats your problem around here decent hunting but no access for the public.

Also be very carefull to keep your finger off the line when setting the hook, it will cut the Bejeezus out of you.

Best to fish when the gage depth is 10 or lower at least up here (above 671 landing) because of current and muddy water

We killed some big ducks Wed, but hunted east of Franklin Sat and didn't fire the gun. Scouted this a.m. and saw a few big ducks in one spot but they were spread out. Checked 3 other spots and...

Good to be back. The last fish I caught was a big ole carp...foul hooked him in the back and fought him for about 30 minutes, had him to the boat before a mountain lion got him. Darn shame...

I'm about 8 miles upriver from 671 landing and we don't have a tide.

Here is a graph that shows water depth, over 11' is high and under 6' is low(at least up here.)
It won't help you as much down...

We fished for about an hour casting some beetle spins right up against the bank, caught about 20. Most were decent size, let 'em all go because I am a sportsman.
