We call Duct Tape 200mph Tape. Back in 1976 some buddies and I pit crewed for Music City Speed Shop at the Cajun Nationals in Baton Rouge, La. When the Funny Car Bodies would fly off and crack up the guys would bring the bodies to the Pits and Duct Tape them back together. The bodies would remain intact the rest of the weekend. Hence the name..........fun times as a teen or signs of a misspent youth?

So sad, I got into Crappie fishing and that truck has not been started again. Worked like crazy to build it, funny how you can't pick what you love to do. Both front tires have been flat so long I think they need replacing. All these years later you can still see my Heart beating in my shirt when I exit I-10 at the Stennis Space Center, the exit to The Wastehouse and Upper East Pearl River. The excitement will make me carry Nitro pills one day.

    Default Power Radiator Flushing

Had to drag out my Outboard Cooling Water Jacket Cleaning Pump. Long bunch of works to mean Muratic Acid Pump. I pull the foot on plugged outboards as a last ditch effort to clean out the water jackets without disassembling the Power Heads. It gets results. So the Caddy Radiator is a bit funky inside so I hit it today with a power flusher.

Here everything is rigged with a circulation tank. Pressure / Fill from the bottom returning out the top.

This little pump has cleaned over a hundred Outboards, it may die tomorrow but ran great today. You can see inside the Radiator, it needs cleaning.

The foam always builds us in the return container. I should have videoed the pump, a few leaks in it now after 10 years of abuse. Did the job though. Also used it to circulate clean water to flush the radiator flush out.

Default Getting the Fuel Supply worked out

The Cadillac fuel system was anything but well. The older guy I got the car from is a tinkerer and terrible at it. He chopped up the trunk up as well as other stuff that now I need to repair or delete totally. The way Cadillac made these cars one electric fuel pump is in the fuel tank, another electric fuel pump, much larger pump, under the body inside the back wheel area. A crazy amount of hoses, wires, fuel connections, and filters are jammed into a tight area.

I used 3 floor jacks to get the car up high enough to get under it to remove the secondary electric fuel pump and lines. I ran a hose from the fuel tank supply line directly to the pump exiting piping feeding the engine bay area. First I pulled the Fuel pickup / sending unit assembly to drain the fuel tank of the old gas it contained and make sure which line exiting the assembly was fuel supply and which was the tank vent. While there I upgraded the rubber lines to Marine Under deck grade fuel hose.

After getting the fuel supply in the back taken care of I had to pickup a steel line, a compatible Union for the steel line fittings, and a fuel filter to complete the fuel supply under the hood. Now this work is just to get the car running, I need to move it as I have a 12,000lb HD Lift coming. Using the union I joined the new line to the existing fuel supply line after bending it to weave thru the engine area to supply fuel to the mechanical fuel pump I added to the engine and eventually the Carburetor.
