Yes sir I keep them in my refrigerator crisper.
Any one ever buy them off the internet.? They seem cheaper than bait shops. I found 500 for $22. That seems to be a good price. Just wondering if you can keep them for a couple months. Thanks

I just ordered 500 online from uncle jims worm farm. I had success with my my bucket farm keeping the nightcrawlers from my yard and leftover bait shop worms from fishing trips alive for a year now. They were only 29 bucks

Yes,Sir uncle Jim's sells some really great red wigglers, they are very fair and good Customer service, I dumped a few Dozen in my compost bin once, they had been left in the ⛵and looked dead now I have more red worms then I can use. They spread faster than Rabbits.Hope you have a wonderful time with your bucket farm!!!

Basically 2 5 gallon buckets with small holes drilled in the bottom of the inside bucket for drainage. Keep ot on my front porch and just sprinkle the top with coffe and cornmeal once a week.

when keeping Night Crawlers the temp can not get too hot or Cold ... The Worms will also Ball together then all Die. when a couple die it seems like the rest croak... I do not know how they can be kept for longer time periods
If you are using this method be sure to place some fine mesh screening at the bottom of your five gallon bucket. I also feed mine tea bags, shredded newspaper, sliced apples or lettuce and yellow corn meal. Keep the mixture damp and they will readily reproduce. This method is for RED WIGGLER WORMS ONLY! If you try to do this with night crawler worms it will NOT work for them. You will end up with a stinky and a smelly mess of useless worms. I grow enough wigglers for fishing as well as for putting in my garden.

What type of soil do you use in these buckets? I would think regular soil out of the garden would compact and become hard.
