I'm more into using these, when I want a weedless jig :

I have Grousefly make these for me

Oh yeah, I've also tried the dental rubber band trick :p ... where you take one of those dental/braces rubber bands, and hook it around the jig's line eye & then under the hook point barb. It works, but it's one more piece of equipment to have, and one more step in getting your jig "weedless" ... when, if I use the two jigs pictured, they're ready to go right out of the package :D

    ... cp
Weedless jigs are nice in heavy brush ,but I feel you miss alot of fish because of the weed gaurd, might just be me but what I think.

I just try to keep my minnows out of the grass haha but it never seems that i get alot of grass on mine. I focus my minnows on a mud bottom bank than with alot of grass but yeah if heard of these methods before some work but i dont do good with minnows and jigs unless the jigs are tiny :P
