I have poured jigs for a ton of years and I think Eagle Claw has the best product out there. My opinion. I would buy maybe small packages of different in sizes and try them. You will find what you want and settle into that. Buying 1000 at a crack saves you money in the long haul but to buy a 1000 of unknown hooks and they lay around for twenty years cause ya don't like them is not a good way to go. I will say as far as problems with hooks. Everyone will have a bad batch from time to time. These companies will run a 1/4 million hooks per shift per line in their plants and they can't catch them all if their is a misfire. One time I had a box of 1000 that was just awful, contacted Eagle Claw and the replaced it but wanted the box of bad hooks. These companies do not want bad product out here. They know we talk and it reflects in sales. I like fine wire hooks and some like heavy, you need to decide that. Welcome to the addiction of pouring.
