I love my wire bait keeper molds. Have modified several to wire keeper. Pain in the butt to get the wires in the but to me it is worth it.
I have never used a jig head with a wire plastic bait keeper . All I have ever used is the molded spear type
The question is does the wire type hold plastic as well as the molded lead spears. ?

After you put a plastic on a jig head with a wire keeper, you can pull on the tail, and the tail will break off before the plastic pulls off the keeper.

My wife lets me buy all the rods and reels I can hide.
Wire keepers are really good but I use the coil type and love them.

I used some of the twist on ones and had to change the bait when it was no longer Blue on top, but had turned white from being chewed on so much. No 'gill on the planet could pull them down.
