Default Redneck comin to your state

Alright boys, I will be comin to your state Sunday night. I will be staying North of Pittsburg for a week and a half, with not much to do in the afternoons. Y'all got any suggestions on where I could catch a crappie from the bank or maybe hire a guide on Saturday? Any help would be appreciated.

You could head up to Lake Aurthur in Moraine State Park, less than an hour north on 79. If you are interested in other species you might head to the north shore and fish the Allegheny river, or fish the Mon near the boat launch on the south side. There a some other smaller spots around, check the PA fish and boat commission site : http://fishandboat.com/mpag1.htm

Yes Crooked Creek has crappies in it. It is more a lake to use a boat on, but am sure you can find spots to fish from shore. The lake is in between mountains. Yellow Creek would be another possibility, and is more open for bank fishing. Hope this helps you.

Bob lives right down the street from there. I'm sure he'll respond to the post when he sees it.

Thanks Bob. It'll take me a day or two to get my schedule figured out and made. Gonna stay in the grove city area.

If your staying in Grove City Pa, then Shenango Lake is the the lake nearest to it. Less than a half hour away. Crooked Creek would take about 1 1/2 hours to get to.
