    Here's a monster Pumpkinseed (Length 11 1/4 inches) caught, photographed, and released in NY (08/2008) using red artificial worm.

    Congradulations on the nice catch. My friend was catching redears on 7 inch worms fishing for bass, so I bought some cream small artificial worms and did not even get a bite. Go figure
