Thanks for the tip freebird! I have always wondered how well these would do vs. waxies. I will deffinately pick some up next time im at the mart.

I was very skeptical about these things, but decided to give them a try. My dad and I fished last weekend. He caught 18 fish, a mixed bag of bass, panfish, and catfish. All were on a jig tipped with a maggot. He didn't get a bite when he didn't tip the jig.
I also tried them on a plain hook yesterday. I fished them side by side with crickets. I caught 4 bluegill, a crappie, and a 2 pound largemouth on the maggots. I only caught a few on the crickets.
Today, I just went out and dropped a maggot in the cricket bucket, in no more than 5 seconds, 4 crickets had a hold of the thing and were fighting over it. The maggot was gone in about a minute, no exaggeration. Maybe crickets infused with Gulp Maggots will be a super bait.
Give these a try.

What color maggots were you using, the white ones???? I noticed that Gulp makes different colors and have thought about using them for a long time and just haven't.
Bluegill
I like the idea of the infused crickets! It just might work!

Pardon my ignorance, but what are Gulp maggots? Are they actually live or something like crappie nibbles? Where can you get them?
Made by Berkley, come in the little jar like crappie nibbles, etcetera. I have found they work well too.
Sorry its taken a while to get back to yall. They're pretty much like crappie nibbles really. I was using the yellow ones.
I used some white ones today and did well on red ears and crappie. Not sure if they are better then live maggots but they just might be.
