    Default 23 in 26

Woke up to thunderstorms this morning.
My wife had PT at 11 so if I was lucky , maybe I could catch a break in the thunderstorms .
The rain slacked upas I dropped my wife off and I headed to the docks .

Last night I kinda prepared for a quick fishing trip . Hoping for a gap in the rain .
I spooled up a Daiwa Fuego lt1000 with 2# Floroclear and mounted it on my 4’6” Daiwa Trout X XUL .
I tied up a couple of jigs using a size #14 Mustad Streamer hook and a 3mm tungsten bead and one wrap of black wooly booger chenille, that has a little flash in it .
I slipped on an olive Mini Trout Magnet .

My first cast was at 11:01 and my last was at 11:27 as I headed to the car , when the wind picked up and the bottom fell out about the time I reached my car.
I caught twenty three that I unhooked , several others that got off as I was getting them in .
They were small juvenile gills , but fun on the little Trout X rod .
The little gills were eating up the mini magnet .
I could cast about 20-25’ with the wind , but that was enough.
I didn’t even know my total until I got to the car and counted my pictures I’d taken .
That’s the only way I can keep up with my catch .

Beautiful fish. Love the colors and patterns. One a minute is pretty darn good. Thanks for sharing

That’s some mighty fast catching. Be hard to beat that catch/picture taking/time ratio. At my age I’d be more like one fish every two minutes with no pictures taken. I’m sure I would end up fishing for my rod or phone.
