Tough life for a bluegill if there are predator fish after them
I fish a small 2 or 3 acre lake with big bg and crappie and average bass. I can't catch bg anytime other than dusk. Dawn is a hard bite but I would think that if they like low light conditions like dusk then dawn would be no different. Been that way for years. Also it is strange that bass only bite during the day. After dark all fish just stop. Wondering why.

Bluegill are more of a daytime feeder .
They’re too busy hiding when it’s dark .
