Default Weekly Meetup 6-13-23 (warning small fish)

Warning: If small fish bother you , this post isn’t for you !
With the threat of rain and thunderstorms I met up with my fishing buddy at one of our favorite spots this morning.
It drizzled on us several times during the three and a half hours we fished , but nothing heavy and no Thunder or lightning.
Fishing was good , I caught 23 fish , mostly little guys , and my buddy caught 15 .
Ten of mine were caught on a size 14 micro-spinner , the rest on 1/64 Trout Magnet .
My buddy caught most of his on a micro size Yo Zuri Snap Bean .
We did catch some colorful fish even though they were on the small size .
The two combos I used most were my 5’6” St Croix Premier UL paired with my KastKing Kestrel 1000 SFS reel and 2# line , and my 6’ Abu Garcia Mass Beat 3 UL paired with a KastKing Zephyr SFS reel and 2# line .
As most of you know , I enjoy catching all fish, including the little ones , I could sit on my fishing stool and catch them all day .

Pretty fish. Small fish much better than no fish…which is what I had today.

I almost took the Iprimi . I had it ready , but wasn’t sure we were going to get to go because of the rain threat and left it at home .

Some really beautiful colors in those fish. Great catches. I had a small fish trip on Sunday, but I wasn't hooking them. They were just beating my lure up all the way back to the boat. None of the ones I caught had colors like that. Congrats. Good pics!
    All the best,
    Glenn

Pretty colors on those fish, especially the third pic. Some kind of nice. I’ll take a day of small fish most any time. They give me a chance to dig out my real tiny lures. Even better is that you beat the storm and got to enjoy the company. Heat index here yesterday was 103*.
