Default Monday meet and fish !

Met up with my fishing buddy today around 12:30 at our regular spot on West Point Reservoir.
Mid to upper 50’s and cloudy all day today . Felt a little cool around three when the wind picked up a little .
The water continues to drop . I stood in a spot today that I would have been totally underwater just a few weeks ago .

Best news was there were no skunks today .
My buddy continued his whooping up on me with 8 fish , three yellow “bream” , a green sunfish , a couple of small spotted bass and two shiners caught on a Snap bean tiny crankbait .
I caught two small spotted bass that were a blast on my 5’ Rosewood UL paired up with a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000 . The Rosewood is more like an XUL with an xtra-fast tip . A. Fun rd that will zip a 1/18 Mepps spinner .
The fishing this time of year is tuff , but it still fun getting out there trying .

Real nice fish. Those Snap beans are cool little cranks. Still have a few that used to come with 2 different sizes in a pack, the smallest being very tiny.

    So do I , some where .
I never had much luck with them , but my bud catches all kinds of fish on fish on the one he has .
    Drives me nuts sometimes.
He liked Roostertails , I prefer Mepps , but he’s been wearing me out with his Roostertails that I gave him . A box of about fifty of them that I’d accumulated over the years .

Ain’t that the way. Give a man a lure that doesn’t work for you and he wears you out with em. Good looking little bass. I fished a bank one spring with a 1/64 head and a 1” white curl tail and caught bass under 6” for about 2 hours and just moved on. Those in the pics are big compared to those.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Thanks gillchaser999 thanked you for this post
