Nice pics and fish, the new reel looks like it was made for that rod.
This morning started out cloudy and then to Party cloudy followed by the wind picking up around noon .
I visited the local water reservoir that would I would usually fish for green sunfish, but the water is down between 2-3’ leaving the riprap dry . Also made it hazardous for me to walk on the rocks to get to the water .
I fished a Daiwa 5’6” Gekkabijin Ajing Rod paired with my new favorite reel. A Daiwa Fuego LT 1000D , spooled with 3# P-line Flouroclear line .
I caught three bass today using 2.5g silver spoons and a Mepps spinner tipped with a shortened chartreuse curly tail . The smallest came on the Mepps .
I’m not minding catching a few bass lately , it’s a nice change and they do put up a good fight on ultralight.
Too a pic of the other fisherman that kept me company for about an hour .
You can see in the pics how low the water is .
“ The bigger the Bend , the Wider the Grin ! “
