    My fishing buddy has caught them jigging a small crankbait and on a 1/16oz Roostertail.
    They shoot out from the rocks , grab your jig , and are back under in a flash.
    You have to be quick.
    Most of the time it’s sight fishing , so I’m watching the strike .
    It’s a hoot fishing for them .
    I’m surprised they are still that shallow in the colder water .
    I’m looking forward to higher , warmer water to bring more in close , jigging distances.

    Caught this little guy today .
    He almost came out of the water to hit my jig as I was picking it up at the end of the cast .
    Sent him sailing into the air . Almost landed in my lap .
    Not the smallest I’ve ever caught , but still pretty small .
    It’s good to see this year class in the Town pond . The future.

    I spent a morning with both small and large mouth of that age class one morning, like 50 of them on 1” white curl tails and a 1/32 head. They’re great fun with the right gear. Glad you two got to visit some.

    A couple of the micro sized green sunfish I caught today on my 6’ Tenkara rod .
    I caught twenty-five total .
