    Default Properly slimed rod

I got a change to take the new rod I paired with a Legalis 1000 out for a day of fishing. This wasn't the first fish she brought in, it isn't a nice bluegill, but it put up one heck of a fight. I am not a rabid pic maker, my wife actually reminded me. We boated about 50 fish today, all of which were released to fight again another day.

What a way to christen a new rod. A beauty and they’re great fighters.

Trial by fire! Great colors on a nice fish. Like the grip on the rod, looks comfy.

That is a G2 carbon grip from Mudhole. I really like it, very comfortable to hold and it fits my old fat hands well.
