    Default Short window of activity

We had a thundershower overnight last night.
I just knew the pond was going to be on fire today .
So I asked my wife if she could do without me for a couple hours this morning .
She hadn’t slept much last night and told me to go while she napped .
I went armed with my little five foot Made in China UL paired with a Daiwa Fuego 2000SH , spooled with 4# test P-line Original.
I got there around ten again this morning and fished the bridge area with a 1/32 jig and BG IB Slab Hunter . Nothing..
I then went back to the shaded area I fished yesterday for the next hour or so .
I caught one little redear about 4” and switched over to a float and jig and caught a 5” BG on the first cast
Thought I had it figured out . Nope !
I had 15 minutes left to fish and decided to try a small jig spinner with the 1/32 jighead and BG IB Slab Hunter but I’d colored the entire bait chartreuse with my Zoom marker . I was hoping to catch a few small LM to save the day .
The next 20 minutes was the best all morning.
I caught four LM from 6-10”, two bluegills , one medium size , and one about 8” . Also caught a nice redear about 8-9” .
The jig spinner woke them up I guess . That or they started to feed .
    I left them biting .

Good use of the spinner harness and the Bobby Garland bait, the fish liked it and that is all that matters.

Had I not tried the spinner , I would have only caught two small ones .
Best twenty minutes of the morning.

That’s a good fit for the spinner, thanks for the pic. Good thing that you didn’t leave early.

I always want to stay longer. But seems like I always have something waiting.
