    Default Scratch the Itch

Finally got out this morning to chase some gills and such in my office. The St Johns is still running pretty hard so some of the places I like to fish just aren’t working. I wound up fishing 5 different areas and found fish at 4 so it was a good enough day for me even though I didn’t get major numbers. Several species and a couple of somebodies that I tussled with for a little bit but alas, they said goodbye before we met. One I never moved, he raised my heart rate. They seemed to want bright color today so the Bitty slab slayer in iced tea with lemon got the most success. Got a few that made me happy I went today and a bunch of others that while not big, gave a good accounting of themselves. The redbreast did their best to steal my rod. Only one small crappie made the show, surprising for where I was. The wind got up and I had someone coming to look at my skiff so I bailed at about 11 and settled in around the house. Good thing I did. This young man came from Pittsburg, PA to buy my skiff and took it home with him. Seems that they’re hard to find up there and he wanted the shallow draft. He got a good one. So here’s a few pics of my new friends that I made today. Enjoy the pics, I had fun taking them. Til we meet again….Skeet

Nice mixed bag . Pretty colored up too .
    Thanks for sharing .
    I owned a fiberglass skiff once .
Two happiest days of my life was the day I bought it and the day I sold it , three months later .
I’m glad I kept my Alumacraft.

That first photo was spectacular. What color! The others were real nice fish but didn’t put on the suit the redbreast was wearing. Thanks for the ride along!
