Nice fish, Skeet. Sorry to hear about the reaction, but you did the right thing getting vaccinated.
Bob
Had a wicked reaction to my first of two Pfizer vaccines that I got on Friday and will return to work tomorrow. Feeling better this morning I snuck out for a couple of hours to the nearby place I refer to as my office. Caught a good 9” plus copper nose on the first stop and several others as time went by but none bigger than the first. I’m not used to fishing during the week and the quiet was very noticeable. So was the heat. JEEEEZ!! This was my first trip since my daughter and her family moved to TN a week ago. Knowing she was leaving and her husband and daughter already there, she and I went every chance we got. Not having her in the other end of the boat to enjoy the time with made the silence even more pronounced. It was a good trip with some nice fish and was headed home by ten, but it just wasn’t the same. Suffice to say that empty nesting sucks in more ways than one. These were some of her favorites every time.

Skeet,
Sure she will be keeping an eye on your trips. Nice fish and pics. Glad you are feeling better.

My first Pfizer shot was just a little arm soreness, the second one put me down for three days with full blown flu like symptoms. I'm 60 years old now and had kids and grandkids staying with us the whole time, last year we finally became empty nesters for the first time, it definitely takes getting used to. I find myself fishing alone more and more now, it's just not the same!

Sound like a good trip and you'll just have to reflect to all the good times y'all had out there.....
Took me a while to get use to it when my boys couldn't fish with me.....

Funny how a fishing trip cures feeling bad. Joan and I have an answer to that second problem.

Lots of good fishing here in TN. What area did they move to?

They’re in Manchester Jack. Wife and I lived there from ‘05 to 15 and I brought her back down here for reasons that, at that time, made this look like where we belonged. My older daughter and her family live here. We both have come to the conclusion that while our butts are here in Florida, our hearts are in Tennessee. Such a difference in the pace and the people that we deal with on a daily basis.

I had to look it up. I am a transplant from Costal Alabama. Tennessee is home and likely always will be. Sometimes I do miss the fresh Gulf seafood. I am North of Chattanooga. Folks still live down In Bama. We went to visit the end of March. Mobile is even bigger now than it was then. I sure don't miss all of the crowds and traffic. There is certainly some good fishing up this way as well.
