    Default Trout Magnet Success

They do work, and they do come in colors other than Bison Trout Magnet Success. The lake has dropped a little since my last trip, but the fish are still hanging out in the current of the creek mouth. Here is what it looks like a little further down from where I was fishing.

A mess with floating debris actually blocking the flow. But upstream was better.

A lot clearer. Tonight’s choice was a brown Trout Magnet on a Tict .9g jig head with about a #8 super sharp hook. A Spotted Bass struck first, and his tongue patch was evident.

The Finetail is fun, more seat time on it and the Sunline is always welcome. White Bass are still up, caught two of those.

Gills galore, nothing big up near the current.

The biggest fish of the night had a weird looking parasite thing under his chin, embedded in his skin. A nice Smallie he was , and did not lack fight, but the growth was odd.

Maybe that Arkansas Fisheries Dude knows what it was. I had knife with me and probably should have cut it out? Anyway, as it was getting dark and my TM was getting beat up bad, I switched to a mealworm colored one and walked out near the truck and made a couple more casts. Scored a hoss, and called it a night.

Saw lots of Gills tipping the waters near all the trash and debris. They are moving shallow and getting ready to search out the bedding areas. Stay safe and get out if you can.

Pretty creek! Hard to tell exactly what is going on with that smallmouth jaw. To me it looks like an old hooking wound that is infected. When this happens it can result in a gaping hole in the lower jaw.

Looks like a fun trip for sure. I just spooled up a new outfit with 2 lb. Trilene XL and tied a Root beer float TM on it. That'll be a new color for me to try when I get a chance.

Great catch Stan. Nickajack bluegill are hiding out....water only 60 degrees. The white bass were active though.....over 200 out of the same spot. Used a Sow Bug Trout Magnet for a lot of them. Used 4 rods in the rotation today.

    Regards
