I think the "rule" is to use dark lures in dark water, light colors in clear water. My favorte is a black and chart. jig with a brass spinner. DEADLY!!!
At the end of the evening I finally caught one little 2-inch green sunfish. And I think he just happened to be right where my lure landed cause he took it the instant it hit the water. I was using a flo. pink 1/16 oz Road Runner with a white curly tail grub. Apparently they CAN find my lure in muddy water. He was released unhurt to fight again someday. All in all, a good day.:D

Around here lately in muddy water orange seems to do the trick. Otange and Black.
there is a lot of muddy water around here in which we use orange jigs tipped with white or pink power wigglers for the gills. for the crappies i strictly use pink/white/pink combos and it tears them up. usually have to work it slow but it works all summer in the dark water
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
Power wigglers?? Are those some kind of new "bionic" worm the government has developed out at Los Alamos for the war on terror?? Please explain.
