As always, very nice fish. I had a tube in the 70’s in OK. Brought it back to fl and used it once before selling it. Felt like a floating buffet. Glad you guys ended on a good note. Maybe Havasu next year. I need dates by Christmas to put in for the time off, and pray everything goes better this year.

    Thnx guys
Cm - weekends are getting stupid for both lake lice & wannabe fishing nuts. Crappie are all over the lake. Water finally got into the 70s.

Tim - We got a plan A - B & C. Anytime in April, if we can't do Havasu, we can do LP for sure, and maybe San Vicente. My buddy Keith got a report (2 days ago @ SV) that 4 of his friends left with a full limit (25 each) of CNBGs averaging 2lbs each!

You are making me wonder what the state of CA pays their Fisheries biologist! Ha ha ha!

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Very serious about getting you out here Matt - would love to know the growth rate of the local CNBG. And if there is any pure strain CNBG left. Also would like to know about the Green Sunfish - if the bigger ones are crossed with the Redear (like to know their growth rate too).

Glad you like the pics Hwg

You are reading my mind Sonny. I sent an email to the local California Fish and Wildlife Office that manages LP. I inquired if they already had this data collected. If so, I will be sure to post on here so that you will see it also. I’m guessing that they do not have this data. It is pretty unusually for a fish/wildlife agency to put too much effort into bluegill and redear. What a shame. I know that if my lakes grew 2+ pound bluegill, I would be doing some serious research.

I have been talking up LP to my coworkers for a while now. I am going to have to get out there sooner than later...

Matt - there is one guy named Kwin that works for the state - does shock counts. He posts on FNN sometimes - I'll see if I can get some contact information. Pretty sure you know more then him about the Bluegill....

That would be great Sonny. That only email contact I could find was the general email address for the Region 5 office, [email protected]

This is where I send my email.
