I'm probably in the minority on this, but I don't care about warranties. (Maybe it's because I've never broken a rod. Knock on wood.)

That's one of the reasons top fly rods are now in the $800 -$900 range. The warranty costs are built into the prices. I wish they would just give you a basic 1-year warranty to cover manufacturing defects and then let you buy an extended warranty if you wanted -- like you're able to do with every other consumer product on the planet.
