Ca you use any weight with these? I use crickets often and they tend to float without a small split shot above the hook.

I use a number 3 split shot about 8 inches above the hook . If using a jig one of the rubber bobber stops work well about the same 8 inches above the hook .Bought mine at" Dicks "sporting goods . They will cast better than a "Thill" but not near the action due to 4 paddles . If distance is the thing ,they are my go to though .
I believe I have bought them at Walmart a couple of years ago

Now you've made me go and order some Rocket Bobbers and small circle hooks! Sounds like an experiment I need to try. Went to place an order for something else on Amazon yesterday and checked to see if they had Rocket Bobbers and small circle hooks. Both should be here tomorrow. Have always like to use a weighted bobber anyway, and do occasionally like to fish live bait also. Be nice if the circle hooks prevent hooking any deep.
Are u sure about size 10 Eagle Claw black Circle Hooks? I can't find them anywhere. Only the 10/0Sent from my SM-N950U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
