    It is a 3 inch long paddle tail plastic body. I have been catching everything that swims with it....I never thought Gills would like it but they do.

    looks like some fun stuff to me ...i think the one fish is actually a warmouth though and not a rock bass but its been a while since i seen a rock bass .....
    do rock bass get them color eyes in the spring ? ....nice photos and read brother

    Thanks......you are correct......one of those are a warmouth. Got into some of those also and just posted the one pic. The spot had a creek running into it and I assume that is why the concentration of the rock bass and warmouth.

    Thanks for the comments guys. I am having a great spring so far.....mostly all due to the boat I purchased last fall. I loved my kayak fishing and had some great spots to fish from the bank.....but it is nice to be back in a boat.

    That 9" gill is a horse! Cool to see pictures of the black perch - I've never seen one outside of photos. Very nice looking smallmouth bass too. Those must be some kind of fun on super light line.

    The first of the two is a warmouth, it has three spines on the anal fin. Second is a rock bass, six spines on the anal fin.

    I am again amazed at the quality of fish you are pulling in! Nice!
