Look in member classifieds, several on here make good heads, I have bought from Litewirehooker and his are good, but same for several others. Also Southern Pro and Grizzly Jig sell good heads

A small bottle of Gel Super Glue will hold any plastic to any jig head. Just a drop and wait a second. Put it right behind the head and slide the plastic up over it and it will stay there till there is no plastic left.

Unless you are using hollow tube baits, there shouldn't be any reason for them to not stay on the retainer barb ... without using glue. I switched to solid body plastics, from hollow tubes, for that very reason ... and don't even carry the Super Glue Gel bottle with me, anymore !!

For casting/jigging cover ... I use a weedless jighead (Y-guard style) custom made by member "Grousefly".

For pushing/spider rigging open water ... I use jigheads made by Member Sponsor "Slabeye" (whom also makes Slabanator Jig bodies in 4 different models)

I don't experience "slippage" of the various plastics I use from either of these member's products. I prefer having my jigs custom made, because finding commercially made jigs with weedguards and #2 hooks (on both 1/32 & 1/16oz) isn't easy ... and I prefer the custom poured plastic bodies of Slabanator Jigs over many commercially made products, because they're softer but tougher than many and I could even custom order a color or color combo, that's not available in any of the brand name products.

One thing I learned many years ago was not to paint the barb.......and always clean out the eyes......don't see that in store bought heads...pictures of Minnow Heads....
