Got two more in the 11" club today. Lots of healthy BG from deeper water.

That's a nice catch. Like those pictures.
What is that lure you are using to catch those Bullgills. Yea, the one's in their mouth in the pictures?

KYf - release these guys unless they are guy hooked. Too big - smaller ones taste better.

Ba - using a round headed jig (1/48th now) #6 BLN EC Lil' Nasty hook tyed Auto style. Primarily reptile (chartreuse yellow or green) and glo pink.

    Thnx again ah

og1 - the legend (my buddy Big Jim) retired from fishing this year.

    Thnx Lfs

LedHed, could you please describe how you are fishing the jigs? Slow and steady or twitching? Thanks for the posts. Love seeing pics of big gills.

"release these guys unless they are guy hooked." meant GUT hooked....

    Rambler
Deep water, look for hatches going off, and slow troll (almost drifting) the area. Staying in the mid 20s and low 30s right now.

Shallow (12 - 17 FOW) casting and counting down. Varying retrieves - twitching - hopping - and Slow & steady. These fish usually hit on the drop - especially the gut hooked fish. I watch the line - a lot - and try to keep it reasonably tight.
