    Default Kentucky lake

Thinking about going to Kentucky lake this weekend. What is the redear and bluegill going to be doing? Am I going to be to late? Not sure what part of the lake I'll be going to just yet. Not looking for anyones honeyholes but just some info.
    Thanks.

We've been catching some nice gills and a few crackers. Those that know what they are doing have been killing the redears, I just can't get on any good numbers. It was really hot (temp wise) this weekend. Some parts of the areas I fish jumped to 75 degrees. You won't be too late but don't expect large numbers of large fish unless you get into some areas that haven't been fished much. People have been hammering them. Saturday we brought home about 30 nice ones and yesterday had about 15 good ones including two pig crackers but I released them because I didn't feel like cleaning them. We started catching smaller fish yesterday. I was using a drop shot jig and caught just as many as my buddy who was using crawlers. We concentrated on areas that were close to deep water and points. Good luck.

Sounds like the same as around here. The lake I fish at has been getting hammered pretty good. Went yesterday and caught quite a few but most were on the small side. I was thinking about fishing Barkley. Never been on it before.
