I use them 80-90% of the time on a jig. They work really well and there's no mess in the boat. They may not out catch live bait but they are a great alternative if you don't want to fool with it.

Wont go after gills without Gulp "Alive". First time using them I was using live bee moths and a friend was useing the alives. He caught four before I caught one. Haven't had much luck with regular Gulp.

Got a jar last week but haven't used them yet. Hopefully, next weekend.

Right on the money. Have tried them a couple times, will not hold a candle to a wax worm.

So, you haven't fished with them?

I don't want to hijack the thread but, was curious what you guys are storing them in? I got some of the little 1" gulp minnows and they made a terrible mess... Then I put them in a pimento jar the small size and they leaked out of that too!

Oh, by the way I've never used the maggots but I have used the 1" gulp minnows and the gulp waxies (I really like the waxies on a 1/124 oz jighead)

I tried them last year. They were a decent substitute for bait. I stopped "tipping" my jigs with Gulp or bait, though. I've been doing fine with just a plain jig.
