Caught this guy a few weeks ago in a pond. right at 11", not quite a pound. These are very cool fish. caught on small beetlespin, with body removed and tipped with nightcrawler. Slow retrieved off a point in 5 fow. These big ones tug pretty good.

Ive never caught a shell cracker in a pond.But i would love to use my micro rod and reel set up on the size you caught---for sure!
