Catch a lot in winter, seems like they school up close together. Look for stumps, logs something for them to hide around. I use half an inflated night crawler fished on a 1/80th oz jig 12'' behind a slip sinker. Find them in the same deep spots they're in after spawming during the summer.
Bout ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
