Definitely a good looking lake to try and find them. You're lucky to have access to a place like this. Show us some pics when you get in them good, would love to see how big they get.
Hi Guys,
I've been reading this forum for about a year but haven't made any posts. So, I thought I would post a few pictures of my bream fishing grounds - Cheniere Lake, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. I took about a thirty-year break from fishing the lake, but started back late last summer. I've been catching some good bluegill this year but haven't found the redears yet.
Maybe tomorrow will be a good day and I will have some pictures of fish to post.
Take Care,

Beautiful place. Good luck on finding those redears. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Cheniere is a beautiful lake! Its a great place to catch big bullbream. You do have to be careful to not get lost with all the cypress trees in that lake. A gps is always a good thing to have.
I lived in Carencro LA 84 to 86 and fished lakes that looked like that but were smaller. You could really tear the crappie and bream with a jig below a float worked around the cypress.

Thanks for the comments guys. Took my boy out this afternoon, he's more of a baseball play than a fisherman but he goes occasionally. We got 10 good bream, no pics though, daughters had the camera somewhere
