Default got more crickets so don't tell the bluegills, shh

Re-rigged with new stop/bobber/sinker & sharpened the hook as well. Going to be a good evening. Hope we don't get flurries tonight like they said. Supposed to be back in the mid 60's next week which is good news for everyone except the crickets.

Getting ready to order more sinkers, bobber stops and gamakatsu aberdeen bronze hooks!

Took the 3/6yr old this past weekend and both caught more than grandpa.

    Life is good.

    Anyone else still catching them?

Been catching a bunch out of my float tube. Water temps have been right around 70, so the fish are feeding really well. Jigs tipped with a wax worm have worked great.

Weather this weekend will be a little cooler, but I'll be in my tube again. Gonna try the fly rod some in addition to the jigs.

Going tomorrow after noon with a work buddy, using crickets under a float with hook. Also gonna try either millworms or waxies under a float with a 1/80 jig head. Up here in KS its been chilly in the morrings around the 30s then worming up to mid 60s low 70s in the after noon.

Jigs and #12 hooks tipped with a wax worm always produce.

Well they bit a little funny Monday. Beautiful weather, maybe too nice. Water temp was 47deg. We still managed about 15 between the 2 of us in about an hour before it got dark all keepers but no big ones. Will try again on Saturday.

Hope everyone else is still catching them too.

Also, how does everyone else keep their crickets alive? I typically put a couple apple peels or potatoe peels in the cage every 2-3days. I may ask this on its own thread.
