    Default jig

My favorite is a 1/64th or 1/80th jig head with a 1" Mister Twister or Bas Pro shops curly tail in black. Fish on 2 or 4 lb test and go slowwww.

I also like the little mister twister curly tails but that keystone minnow is hard to beat for bream, bluegill or shellcracker.

I agree that the Keystone Minnow is pretty hard to beat, especially under a small float, and they're easy to get since every Walmart I've been in has them.

I just got some 1.5" Powerbait curltail grubs that I happened to find at a local Walmart that I can't wait to try too. They're quite a bit smaller than most 2" grubs I've seen, but they're still not as small as the Mister Twister 1" grubs (I guess that makes since considering the sizes written on the packages :p). The 1.5" ones seem just about right for a 1/32 jig head with a small hook.

I like 1 inch bass pro shop grubs in black but I also really like the little trout magnet grubs in white/chartreuse.

I second Pbug's favorite. I have caught a lot of fish on that setup, and a variety of fish.

I fish mostly kip or marabou tail however there are times I will just cut off the tail end of a 1 inch curly tail and attach that also.

yeah the trout magnets are great. You can get the 60 something piece kit from Academy for 10 dollars and Ive caught fish on all of the colors. Black and green work the best. As far as curly tail jigs nothing beats a mister twister.

kalin triple threat curly tails in 2" have done well for me. these are the best for very slow retrieves, as the tail is very thin.
