Default Is this a black crappie? J/K

Caught this while crappie fishing Saturday evening at Ft. Cobb off the rocks at the marina on 6lb test with a blue/white Bobby Garland . It weighed 8lb 13oz 22in long and 16 1/2 in girth. We took pics to have a replica made and I released her back. This thing striped out all of the line on my reel. I had about 10 ft of line left before there wouldn't have been any line left. This fish was bigger than my little boy at his birth so I guess this would be my second child.

Way to go Taco. Did you catch any crappie that evening? Thry're bitting on the rocks along the dam right at dark. Sand-bass and Hyb's also.

Looks like a catfish without whiskers to me. Great catch but think I would have to put that one on the wall next to rigrunner's 9# bass.

Nice, I know some green carp fisherman that would die to get that thing on the other end of the line.
