Used to fish the docks with my grandmother. She loved it...until bodies started showing up out there. I live in Moore now, and having fished both lakes, I am convinced that Thunderbird is worth the extra drive. I'm not scared of dead people, I just haven't caught as many fish there as I have at T-bird.

I now live in Michigan but when I was stationed in Oklahoma we used to Fish T-Bird in Calipso Cove marina and just HAMMER em' all day. I used to fish the Dam at T-Brd also for Cats and used to throw out a minnow or a jig for crappie while waiting on the big cats to start.

    Never fished Draper

The Marina at overholser between the boats and the shore can be Amazing. I have two that I caught in one night at overholser (17.5 and 18.2 inches) hanging on my wall in my basement here in Michigan.

I mostly used 1/64 oz jig heads with small twister tails. Chartreuse or pink/chartreuse worked everywhere in Oklahoma.

I am moving to Moore in a couple of weeks around 38th and Sunnylane so I will be close to draper and one of the fishing docks. I have been looking at information for fishing there too. Where are people being robbed? Are there docks or good shore fishing spots on T-bird?

No public access docks. But there are plenty of good bank access places where they'll come up in the Spring/Fall. In the Summer/Winter I've never been able to catch them from the bank.

I would sure like to see Draper a better fishin lake. I fish the lake some and I never see anything on my electronics. Is there any baitfish in the lake ? I caught more fish during the drought a couple years ago than ever. The lake got really clear cause of no rain. Down by the dam you could see bottom in 6 to 8 foot of water and I could catch a few fish. But when we got the rains last year it got a lot tougher.

At t-Bird there is a public fishing pier at Fishermans point by the ranger station. It gets pretty crowed when the crappie spawn is on. Like DC stated there are a lot of bank fishing areas. I have fished and seen a lot of peope catch fish off the bank to the west of the fishermans point boat ramp. Also at Sailboat marina cove and the dam.
