How is the crappie bite? My first time on Gibson will be this coming Friday. A friend invited me on a guided spoonbill trip in the afternoon so I thought I would try to find some crappie in the AM.

I've heard pretty good on the lay downs in the Mazie to Mission Bend areas, be sure and give us an update on your trip.

I am just now seeing your replay. That is the area we fished. Current was strong but found a lay down out of the current in 18 FOW. Had our two man limit in a short time and spent the rest of the morning looking around. Fish were caught with single pole single jig. Also did well on the spoonbills, boated 17 that afternoon.
