Hard to hear unless you get ears close to battery which I wouldn't advise doing on a regular basis. That gas coming out of battery is pretty rough on lungs and eyes. I am really curious as to how they determined your chargers amp output.
I also want to know how they tested the charger as they usually have different modes based on the battery charge state.

Keep an eye on it. The leaking is not normal, but the sizzling/boiling is so long as you aren't noticing hot batteries.

Not getting a full charge on your batteries then discharging them (either fully or partially) is also very hard on batteries and will shorten their service life. The reason I mention this is that you said your charger is 2A output. I'm not sure how often you fish, but it will take quite a while to charge an even partially discharged deep cycle battery at 2 amps. For ease of explanation, think about this. If you have a 100 amp hour battery and it is 50% discharged, then you have to restore 50 amp hours to bring it back to full charge. So, hypothetically we have 100% charger/battery efficiency with no loss: 50Ah/2 Amps = 25 hours charge time minimum.

    Good luck

Seems like the sizzling or boiling happens more when you've got a high amp charger in my experience. Never would've thought a 2A would have much going on.

I think you guys are right. I bet my charger is pushing more than 2 amps. Only thing that makes sense to me compared to when I hook them up to another charger that I know is pushing less because I am barely hear anything.

Pretty easy to test your charger for output. Find someone with a D.C. Ammeter to check it. If your close to Ponca, I could do it for you.
It's likely the store had one when you had them test it there.
