Only place that I know of on Oologah is Spencer Creek park!
Odie
I fish both of these lakes from my pontoon boat, but I was wondering if anyone can give me some good ideas as to where I might bank fish for Crappie on either Oologah or Gibson? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron

Common sense isn't always that common!
I've done some bank fishing below oologah dam for crappie last fall. Redbud marina isn't to bad either if you fish off the paid dock.
Depending on which end of the lake your looking to fish; on Gibson there is alot of access to the river and some access to Chouteau Creek if you enter the Chouteau Bend area off of Hwy. 412. Down on the main lake there is lots of places in Sequoyah State Park on the East and Cypress Cove Marina is a hot spot right now for crappie in there paid dock and they are on the West side of the lake.

Oologah Park just north of dam has a lot of bank fishing and open air fishing docks that are baited.

East boat ramp seems to have a lot of bank fisherman around the spawn. There's quite a bit area along side the road going to the ramp. Down the road at Winganon bridge along the riprap seems to get a lot of bank fisherman the water will be deeper there.

You can bank fish in Talala creek, east from the Vada point boat ramp on Oologah as well.
Depends on how far your willing to walk. I've fished all over Oologah from banks on every side of the lake and caught fish. The easily accessible areas have been mentioned but if you don't mind a hike there are many more. Plus no competition. I use maps to find compatible lake depth, structure and contour variables then the closest area to park near deer, horse trails or dry creek beds. Harder to do the greener it gets.
