Reported by Faron Davidson at Keys (River Town Outfitters - Kayak Shop) The sandbass are starting to move in at Horsehoe Bend. This coming weekend should be good but next weekend will be better.

Canton hybrids and sandbass as of last Saturday are still full of eggs in main lake. 2-5 lb hybrids along weed lines are slamming right now. We also stopped over and walked into the river and a good number are starting the run.

Up here on Kaw the males are starting into the creeks. Caught one female with immature eggs, so the best is yet to come.
Did catch a nice walleye though. Quite the battle on 4lb fluorocarbon.
6 oz shy of the lake record. Weighed 5.2.

Looks like the bite is not on at Horseshoe bend yet. Went today with the boat and had a problem with it so we parked it and banked fished for 2 hours or so. Caught 10 of rooster tails, zero on jigs. 7 Keepers that we ended up turning loose all males except 1 female. Was 62 degrees down at the water and overcast. Maybe next Sat/sun when the temp is forecasted to be 85. It will be better. When the bite goes on hard nobody seems to watch to give up that information. Did see a couple that had 5 Crappie they caught on minnows and bobbers. Name: aaron1.jpg
