Also, for those on foot, there is a fishing pier at Fisherman's Point that is good at times. Water is only about 6' deep but there are a lot of attractors. Water will probably have to warm up a bit before it's good.

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know of a nice spot to leave a minnow trap over night where it won't be disturbed?

Not by foot. By boat you probably wouldn't have problems finding a door. The gas station off 149th and Choctaw is very generous with minnows. At least the young girl early in the morning on the weekend is. I walk out with around 4-5 dozen when I only ask for 2-3 dozen.
