I used two while fishing with Barry Marrow this weekend, great backbone, with a great tip, just a bit on the heavy side,
I tried tandem rig on my BnM"s yesterday, I wasnt as happy with the tandem setup, extra weight though was only 3/8 oz. was enough to bow rod slightly, this was on a 12 foot Sam Heaton, I would definantly recomend them if thats your style of fishing, I am not sure which ones we used but plan to get a couple asap!!

There isn't a 10' or 11' Rod out there that compares to either the Meat Dragga or Pullin Rod Just Sayin......Ranger

So nice to read great testimonials of actual users of the Huckabee rods. Todd and Barry have proven over the years they are super crappie catching tools. Thanks to all for taking the time to offer your review.

For the last two weeks I have been using the Huckabee dipping rod. It is awesome. Fast tip with a nice backbone. No problem yanking crappie to the surface and over the rails in Blackwell. Now if I can get a hold of those saugeyes.....

I used the Huckabee Meat Dragga today for the first time. The rest of my rods are now retired Converting all to Huckabee. Backbone enough to swing any crappie fast into the boat. Sensitivity is outstanding.

Are the "new" Huckabee rods the same as the "old" Huckabee rods that were sold by Zebco for a couple of years about 5 years back?
    Hey, tell me a story!

Yes. They are the same rods. Made to Todd's specs. Only difference is they all separate in the middle.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying Huckabee or Lip Ripper rods - but have heard great things about them. I hope to try them some day. I have had great enjoyment from BnM rods personally! The customer service from them is outstanding. I was given a free replacement of a brand new rod just because the rod tip guide wore out! A new rod instead of a new guide!!! Their jigging rods I have tried are very light weight, and I love the finger touch system where the finger is able to rest on the bare rod blank through a port in the handle material. It gives outstanding sensitivity, and the braided lines make them one of the finest light weight jigging rods my friends and I have ever used.
Probably not nearly as stout as the Huckabee or Ripper rods for sure - but a great jigging rod for all day fishing due to their light weight, and their boss man takes care of his customers! I hope to fish with a Ripper and/or Huckabee rod someday soon for comparison - and am so glad to hear the ripper rods are available for purchase again!

Bought two meat draggas from starfish at the tournament yesterday. Will put them into use soon, either fishing or beating a turkey to death (they are some stiff rods!)
