Default How is the Eufaula Hwy69 and/ OR Hospital cove Riprap for summer patterns ?

OK in short, wife wanted a lake house, I wanted crappie.... so the house we're trying to buy is in Eufaula.
It's by the ball parks and next to Eufaula Cove.... NOT the best part of the lake for me.

My question is this, Ive heard rumors that the Rip Rap holds crappie year round...but to what degree?
On those days I don't want to drive to Crowder, Gaines Creek or Gentry Creek etc... or for that short night run how is the rip rap on 69?
    What are the riprap tricks?

I suck at summer patterns and it looks like close is the 1st week of July..... so summer pattern it will be.

Can you hep a brother out? Compromise never benefits either party, it should have been my way....but I'm married thus I lost

House is in a nice location for the wife to be safe and sound, has a cellar and it is near the water so I'm OK with it, just may need to drive to fish for crappie.
I'll be great if I want sandies and cats.

Thanks all, Mark I'll be setting a date for a trip with you after I close on the house and my tail side stops hurting....

Da' Crappie Beater .... look for a boat named Geen Fire Eufaulan's and sy howdy.

That rap holds some crappie during the summer months...To be honest it would hold many more if you would sink a few persimmon trees down each side of the rap. Start at normal lake levels and place them in 12' to 18' Dow... with wind direction on that rap it becomes hard to fish at times. Also the rap on #9 bridge south of Eufaula also holds some fish at times too....Ranger

From that area the standing timber around Coon Creek is good, the standing timber through the cut in the Brooken area, the timber on south bank in between the two #9 bridges are all good year round .......not only the wind, but the pleasure boaters are a little nerving also during the summer......
