Default how do you store your rods when there not being used?

I've been thinking about making a overhead storage rack for my fishing poles that mounts to the ceiling in my garage since i no longer have a boat I'm thinking about just getting a 1"x2" and some large screw hooks and doing it that way but I'm open to a different way/method and pics would be great

I made a stand, like the design I saw at BPS. Its about 30 " high and 12 " square with 5 drawers in the center. Space for 4 rods on each side. I love the compactness and the fact it has 5 drawers for stuff. Of course, it's too small now, but that's a story for a different time.

Vertical wall mount next to work bench for 7' and smaller. My longer ones I have horizontal on my peg board above work bench. I only have 6 rods or so. I do wonder what people do for their trolling rods. I figure when I get my boat and trolling setup I will keep them broke down in the boat.

Josh, this is how I did mine. Of course, most of mine are outside now and not in the holders...lol...remember, they only work if you use them! I made these from 3/4" PVC. I think I got the idea from a picture Peke posted one time...

Here's my set up... I used 3/4" plywood. I cut it into 3" wide strips and drilled holes in it. Mounted it with toggle bolts.
