Do you guys ever hit up the Bluff Landing area. Do they bite pretty shallow there too or they in deep submerged brush? All I have is a 2 man with a trolling motor so I am kind of limited to boat driving distance. Bluff landing isnt too far from me and I consider it one of the last few safe places to load your boat on the river in the Broken Arrow/Catoosa area, other than Rogers point in Catoosa but I dont think there is any good Crappie fishing in the Rogers Point area, correct me if I'm wrong. 33 landing is kind of sketchy now. And they shut down the best fishing spot IMO on the river a few years ago, that being Rocky Point!
Bluff is one of those hit or miss places. Good looking water with lots of stumps and laydowns. Spring and early fall are the best times. Most of the fish run in the 8-11" range. I've caught some good ones before, but I normally don't catch very big fish there. The main issue with Bluff is that the traffic has really increased over the last couple of years. It's really tough to fish it on the weekends because of the wakes. When the fish are up shallow, they seem to shut down when a big wake hits the shore and then it takes about 10-15 minutes for them to start hitting again. If a wakeboard boat shows up you either need to head up into Adams Creek or go home. Bluff can be good at the right times but you should probably save it for a weekday.

Geez, just when you think you can go to the river to get away from the bozo skiers, that happens.

Regarding bass fishing, that place just looks good for bass fishing, but I have never really done that well there. Just caught a few here and there, I dont understand it. My best bass fishing that I have ever done in the river is in that little cove where rocky point used to be, We would always usually catch some there. havent been there in a while though.

We fished 33 landing yesterday for blues and crappie. Neither were very active. Caught a couple crappie in the area coves and oxbows but it was sssllloowww. Even saw a crappe loitering on surface near the bank and couldn't get it to hit nuthin. Rogers ramp and north may have been a better bet.

I tried the oxbow a couple of miles north of the hwy 51 bridge on Sunday. There was a lot more muddy runoff than I expected... at least that's what I'm gonna blame the slow fishing on. All I got were 2 crappie, 2 sandbass, a black bass, and a catfish. Water temps ranged from 67-71. The first cove inside the oxbow (with the road at the end) looked great but I didn't even get a hit in there. Maybe next time.
