Default Shot a limit of deer

I got my first buck today and 2 does, my 8-year-old nephew Tyler shot his first buck, a nice lil 8 point, and step-brother Todd shot another buck. From left to right: Step brother Todd, his son Tyler, me, brother Bret, his son Tyler. So I've shot 4 deer in my life, and 3 of them today! It's been a great Thanksgiving, and it's not over yet- I'm going to bedlam tomorrow in Norman!:D

Why don't you let those dinks grow up for a couple of years?

Nice deer. I can definitely see a lot of potential in those bucks.

Game management is not for everyone. Done properly, it's almost a full-time job in itself, but at the same time, they won't get any bigger if you harvest them either.

    Kudos on the doe harvest!!

BudsBoy- 1. Those antlers looked a lot bigger from about 100 yards with the morning sun light shining through them, esp. to my untrained eye 2. Dad was tired of me eating all his deer meat so I was set on filling the freezer(s). 3. I only deer hunt once a year 4. my buck turned out to be one that should be culled from the heard anyways because of his scraggly, tine-missing "rack," according to my dad (who took the pic) and some other guys who seemed to know what they were talking about at the check station/processor.

And the does... well, they taste grrrreat.

My Dad knows about the management stuff... he's been killing deer and talking to biologists for a lot longer than Ive been alive. He also just got into raising trophy bucks... he bought some sperm for like... I don't know..... several, several thousands of dollars out of this buck named Maxbo or something.....

Good job Jiggy, glad you got your limit on deer.

I did not see any buck when I was at my friend's place, maybe next time I will.
