BPS in OKC is not meeting their goal either.
Talked with a reliable source yesterday, city of BA has informed BPS that if they dont meet the required "guaranteed tax revenue" by Jan. 1 that the city will revoke their contract and take back the property......wow! economy really is tough.![]()

I like BA, but it's poorly ran as a city. It seems like they go from one fiasco to another.
I'd sure like to see a Cabela's in the area. BPS needs some local competition. BPS is like Wal-Mart, only with higher prices!
A year or so ago I heard rumors of one going in at Hwy 75 and I-40 in Henryetta, but according to the rumor, the City wouldn't pay for putting in the Utilities. Oh well, as long they would put one in NE OK I'd be happy.
BG; I agree, never witnessed one closed down, but look at whats happened this year already and stock analyst and banking insiders say more defaults are coming. My freind in Tulsa has a new $6.5 mill. company with 3 partners developing bio-diesel and a triple A credit rating, tried to get a bank loan recently and were tuned down!

I know the county comissioner here in wag county and he told me hisself that cabelas went to coweta city and the city told them quickly that they could not meet their demands so they high tailed it so I know they are looking around here somewhere
LR - There are several bio-diesel manufacturing co's that have gone bankrupt in Nebraska. So it does not surprise me that your friends could not get a loan.If the government doesn't subsidize the industry I do not think they can survive.
they should build one in Stillwater
"Mister, I love the way you wear that hat."
"You don't know nothin'."
George; They have the process down pat and they already have the ASTM classification approved for the fuel, most noteably Caterpillar has approved the fuel for their diesels. The new refinery unit is going up in Weatherford as we speak, and yes the company is operating on a Gov-grant for a 9 year plan. A diesel will run on buttermilk.....and ole man Diesel originally designed his engine to use plant based fuels to benefit the farmer. Get ready it's coming in the near future.
